Raymond Giovanelli (@rjgiovanelli)
Ray Giovanelli is current principal of a newly constructed suburban elementary school and has been principal of two other highly effective elementary schools in addition to being a classroom teacher over his 22 years as an educator. During his time as principal his schools have shown consistent high growth and proficiency on North Carolina End of Grade Tests, focus on innovative classroom practices, use of technology to engage students and building a culture and climate that focuses on strong character, collaboration and teamwork for students, staff and the highly involved parent communities he has worked in. While principal he helped with implementation of a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program and teacher training regarding best practices for technology use at the elementary school. This focus on helping support teachers and making them feel comfortable with technology prior to expectation of classroom use was exceptionally effective.
